Frequently Asked Questions
Q - I think my piercing is infected, should I take the jewelry out?
A - Absolutely not. If you remove the jewelry and the piercing site is indeed
infected the outside of the piercing will close trapping the infection
inside. If you are concerned with the state of your piercing feel free to
come in and one of our artists will look at it for you.
Q - My tattoo is peeling/flaking is something wrong?
A - No, just remember to keep it moist and to not pick at it.
Q - My new tattoo itches like crazy, why?
A - You're likely tempted to scratch your tattoo when it starts to itch, don't! As time passes your tattoo transitions from its fresh state to its healing state. During this period you will likely experience an itchy sensation that might best be attributed to the occurrence of new skin. Keep your tattoo moist during this period and don't pick or scratch at it! Sometimes patting your tattoo is enough to alleviate the itch.
Q - Why are your prices higher than most local shops?
A - Quality. For tattoos there is a saying "good tattoos aren't cheap, and
cheap tattoos aren't good." When using finer supplies they cost more,
our cost is higher, and in turn we must charge more in order to provide
an above average service to you. There are many hidden costs that
the client does not foresee which are crucial when trying not to cross
contaminate. Things add up such as disposable tubes, disposable razors,
single use needles (multiple needles per piece) and a myriad of other
supplies. We are not the cheapest nor are we the most expensive; we
are simply trying to be reasonable with cost while providing high quality
supplies and sterility to you, the client. As for piercings keep in mind
that we use better quality jewelry and our prices are all inclusive which
means your price includes great quality jewelry, the aftercare you need
for your new piercing and the procedure itself. Do not forget that we
provide free advice and help, where as is you go to the mall and ask for
help you will not get correct advice. We are trained professionals as
opposed to kids trying to make cash. The uneducated masses just want
to make a quick buck.
